Peacock Practice SUMMER HOLIDAYS ARE GREAT EVEN WHEN the weather's a bit dodgy. That's why, for a short spell at this time of the year, it's better NOT to be a professional footballer. Coz while normal punters hit the beaches, footy stars are getting stuck into pre-season training and a series of friendlies against non-league sides. One man who isn't complaining is Blackburn new boy Darren Peacock. "We've had a decent spell off and if you asked most people they'd love to be a professional footballer," said Darren when we turned up to watch him and his new team-mates limbering up. "We can hardly complain about having to go back for pre-season training." And no wonder. Thier training was a cinch! At 10.30, the team trooped out each carrying a mat which they put in a nice circle on the grass. A bit of chat, a few shots on goal followed and the lads were on their way back inside. Was that it? "That was just the morning session," said Dazza. "We'll be back out this afternoon. We'll probably just be doing running. All we seem to be doing is running at the moment. I can tell you that they're good runners. There won't be many teams who can touch us for running." So, you've been running a bit of late is that right Dazza?
